Sam is the Founder and Director of Cheerbrook Asset Finance, a specialist commercial finance brokerage. With over 15 years’ experience in finance and business, Sam has built his career on delivering practical funding solutions, strong relationships and consistently high service standards.
Prior to founding Cheerbrook Asset Finance, Sam was National Sales Manager at Zebra Finance, a private finance company based in Derby. During his time there, he specialised in funding private medical procedures, golf memberships, and football and rugby season tickets. His earlier career began in the telecoms sector, where he progressed from business development into managing and leading sales teams, gaining valuable commercial and leadership experience.
Sam has now been a specialist finance broker for over 10 years, supporting customers across a wide range of sectors with tailored, flexible funding solutions. His expertise includes finance for vehicle hire firms, haulage and transportation, plant equipment, the leisure sector, and private vehicle purchases, in short, anything with a serial number.
He is known for his hands‑on, reliable approach, taking pride in meeting his clients needs and helping customers take delivery of assets that directly support their business growth. A key focus of Sam’s approach is developing strong supplier relationships, treating every supplier’s customer as if they were his own.
